BREAKFAST SMOOTHIES

For the people who have been wondering if it is even viable to have smoothies for breakfast, it absolutely is! 

Smoothies are a healthy way to start the day and can work wonders in keeping that diet balanced, especially for the picky eaters. In fact, the right mix of ingredients with high intake of protein in the morning generally reduce your food cravings during the day and keep your stomach full till lunch.

  • Blend together the berries with Plain Greek yogurt, a dash of honey and vanilla extract, to give a smooth creamy consistency and add protein. 

  • You can use frozen berries if you like a thick creamy texture. The addition of honey and vanilla to sweeten the smoothie naturally, without making it overwhelming as frozen berries alone can be very bland.

  • (optional) Almond Butter - Adding nut butter to smoothies will keep you full for longer because of the healthy fats it contains

1. Mixed Berries Smoothie

 

Make yourself a fruity smoothie for a cup of freshness in the morning with 5 simple ingredients: Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries .

2. The Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are perfect for quick healthy breakfast fix that keeps you full till lunch. 

To make the smoothie for the bowl, use ingredients that pack a punch of freshness like peaches, banana, and orange juice. You can add topping like blackberries, blueberries, walnuts, hemp seeds, and a drizzle of honey according to your taste preference. Hemp seeds are a great source of protein with a nutty flavour.

  • Blend 1 ½ cups frozen peaches, 1 banana, ½ cup of orange juice and a dash of Greek yogurt for a thick consistency until smooth. 

  • Transfer the blended smoothie to a bowl and top it with the mixed berries, ¼ cup of walnuts, 2 table spoons of hemp seeds or chia seeds and a drizzle of honey for the sweetness
